Fall Transition
Welcome to August, friends. Life begins to change a little. So many of us are back from family vacation, prepping for kids returning back to school, or getting ready to return to the office after working from home for more than a year.
It’s an interesting time for fashion too. The buying season is called Fall Transition. It’s the in between, not yet full blown fall, but steering away from the light, breezy fabrics and styles of summer.
We’re sharing some of our fave looks that will give your wardrobe a little refresh and get you ready for the inevitable changes that fall brings.
You can still get lots of wear from your summer whites when you pair them with cozy sweaters or tops in a warm neutral color. Wear these looks with strappy sandals now and swap out for suede booties or an on trend pair of clogs as the days get shorter.
For those of us waiting to break out more traditional fall colors, the time is now. We paired a beautiful faux suede fringed jacket by Mother Denim with a light, linen tank top and jeans for a look that’s great now and when you swap the tank for a sweater, takes you into the autumn season. And a linen blouse in a warm brown tone is perfect paired with our customer favorite, the Park Skinny by Joie. Add a pair of chunky loafers (another look that’s popular for fall) to complete the outfit.
As boutique owners, we’re constantly in search of versatile dresses. We know we’ve found a winner in this selection by L’Agence. We see this dress being worn now with sandals or wedges and well into fall and winter with a pair of knee high boots. The shirt dress styling also makes this appropriate for the office when paired with a pair of classic pumps.
We hope you’re as excited as we are to make the style transition. Come see us in the store Monday throught Saturday from 11-5 and of course, shop our looks here anytime.
